MEDIATION / NEGOTIATION

Mr. Deckert has been a Certified Civil and Family Mediator and a Certified Arbitrator since 2000. He has established himself as an imaginative, persistent and effective mediator. He has successfully mediated virtually every type of civil legal or personal dispute, including not only difficult P.I., malpractice, product liability and insurance claims, but also many "non-PI" matters such as family law cases, business disputes, real estate, construction defects, employment, trademark, and even homeowner/condo association battles. He has completed extensive continuing legal, mediation and negotiation training since his certification and he has spoken on mediation and been a presenter at mediation training seminars.

AREAS OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Mr. Deckert has represented individuals, corporations, and insurance companies as plaintiffs and defendants in practically every kind of personal injury, insurance and civil litigation. He has been practicing law since 1976, with a career focus in litigation and mediation in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 1984 and he also holds the distinguished "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Mr. Deckert's professional associations include The Florida Bar, The American Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, The Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, the Association for Conflict Resolution and The Palm Beach County Bar Association. He has served in numerous professional leadership positions and Chaired many committees including The Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, The Judicial Relations Committee, The Circuit Court Civil Practice Committee, The Court Advisory Committee and The Judicial Campaign Practices Commission. Mr. Deckert also has been an active leader in many civic and charitable organizations.
